Top Space tech startups in India
The Indian finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, announced on 16 May 2020 that the Indian government will enact all necessary measures to create a level playing field for the private sector to take part in all Indian space activities. The Cabinet has already given approval to the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (In-SPACe) which is aimed at involving the participation of the private sector in the entire range of space to drive the building of satellites, rockets, or launch services through Indian industry.

Bellatrix Aerospace

Year of founding: 2015
They aim to manufacture and launch of small satellites. They are also developing their own launch vehicle named Chetak, which is planned to launch in 2023.
Agnikul Cosmos
Headquarters: Chennai
Year of founding: 2017
They are engaged in designing and building an orbital class launch vehicle. They use 3D printed parts for their rockets. Their rockets are dedicatedly designed for launching small satellites .
Skyroot Aerospace

Year of founding: 2017
They are developing their own launch vehicles named Vikram I,II & III. They tested their upper stage engine named Raman in August 2020.

Formerly known as Exseed space.
Headquarters: Mumbai
Year of founding: 2018
They are building customised nano satellites. They are the first Indian private company to launch satellite into orbit. They launched two satellites through SpaceX and ISRO. These two satellites are currently in operation, orbiting the Earth.

They bring satellite solution for small and medium scale companies.
Kawa Space
Headquarters: Mumbai
Year of founding: 2018
They build software and critical infrastructure for space. It's Earth observation are used by customers in financial services, government,etc..
Pixxel
Headquarters: Bengaluru
Year of founding: 2019
They are developing Earth observation satellites. They have planned to launch their first satellite in early 2021 with ISRO's PSLV rocket.
